This week:
-We had 2 new root words
-We have been learning about different personal strategies in multiplication. We reviewed repeated addition, distributive property and area models. Ask your student which strategy they liked to use the best.
-We started writing stories about a birthday party. I was SO impressed with our hooks and beginning of our stories.
CLASSROOM UPDATE:
We have been working hard to have expected behaviours in our classroom. Each morning this week, we have reviewed the unexpected behaviours that made people feel unsafe or unhappy in our classroom. We are staying diligent and correcting any behaviours that we see. I have seen an increase of learning, especially in math and writing, since we have reviewed these expectations and we will be continuing to review daily.
